We at Tribe Tropical really want you to love your purchases! If something isn’t quite right, you’re welcome to return or exchange your item as long as the following conditions are met:

Return Conditions:

  • Items must be in brand-new condition, with all tags and hygiene stickers attached.
  • Items must not be used, damaged, or washed.
  • Returns for refunds* must be posted within 30 days of receiving your order.

If these conditions are met, we’re happy to process a refund* or exchange, depending on your preference.


Additional Notes:

  • Items returned after 30 days (e.g. for gifts) will qualify for store credit/ exchange only. We allow up to 60 days for exchanges—perfect for early holiday shopping!
  • *Sale items with 25%+ discount, and/or items purchased during Black Friday (19 Nov – 3 Dec) are eligible for exchange or store credit only, not refunds. Black Friday 'gift with purchase' items are final and not able to be returned or exchanged for other styles/sizes. 

Return Shipping:
Kindly note that we do not cover return shipping costs. Please keep your tracking receipt, as we can’t assume responsibility for items lost in transit.


How to Return Your Item

  1. Start your return: Click the "Start Return" button below to access our returns form. (Or 'Black Friday' form if you ordered between 19 Nov - 3 Dec)
  2. Post your item: Reuse our original compostable satchel (or another eco-friendly option), and lodge your return at your local post office.
  3. Processing time: Allow up to 5 business days after we receive your item for a refund or exchange.

Exchanges

For size or style swaps:

  • Please send your item back to us; once received, we’ll issue a store credit so you can reorder online.
  • Alternatively, to save time, place a new order for the size you need and return the unwanted item for a refund. (admin fee waived in this case)

Refunds

  • Refunds (minus a $5 admin fee per item) are available for full-price and lightly discounted items (up to 20% off).
  • Sale items (25%+ discount and/or for orders placed over Black Friday promo period) qualify for store credit or exchange only, even if desired size is unavailable at time of return. Please consider this condition carefully when purchasing sale items.

Once we do a quality review of the returned item(s) we will endeavour to process your request (refund or exchange) - please allow up to 5 business days for this.

Go green with your return & save waste!

 

Any recycled packaging is fine for return to us - if possible please don't purchase plastic satchels, to help save waste! Our green satchels are compostable, Australia Post's plastic satchels are not sadly.

Faulty Items

We take great care to ensure quality. If you receive a faulty item, please contact us within 14 days with details and photos. Once assessed, we’ll be in touch to advise next steps.

The following are not deemed as 'faulty':

  • Fabric pilling: Caused by wear on rough surfaces like rocks/ pool edges etc.
  • Damaged plastic 'teeth' on zips: From over-extension, can occur if a suit is too small.
  • Broken stitching: From over-stretching suits.
  • Trapped sand: Shake or gently remove sand caught in the fabric.
  • Mould or stains: Prevent by drying swimsuits properly and not leaving them damp.
